Dog Friendly Glamping In The Cotswolds With Experience Freedom

Hello, Plum Pudding here!

A couple of weeks ago you may remember me and cousin Minnie (with our PA's) visited The Cotswolds for some much-needed paws up time.

We were very kindly invited to try out the new Experience Freedom glamping pods in the beautiful setting of Moreton-In Marsh.

When we visited (early February) it was made extra pretty by the light dusting of snow that was on the ground.  Some of you may have seen my rather excited reaction to the snow over on my Facebook page, the PA was surprised I didn't get icicles on my nose!

When we arrived it was pretty cold so we were looking forward to snuggling up in the warm. I don't know about you, but we always feel the cold so it was nice when we walked into our pod to immediately feel how cosy it was.  As we arrived late afternoon we decided to unpack and then stretch our legs in the on-site dog walking area, perfect for more fun in the snow.

After lots of fun in the snow we came back and put our jimjams on early, got some yummy snacks out and put our paws up, the PA said that's what holidays are all about, right?!

The luxury glamping pod we stayed in came complete with comfy bedding, en-suite bathroom facilities, and cooking equipment, everything you need to ensure you have a stress free break away with all the amenities you need at hand.  As you can see from the pictures below, every inch of space had been used very cleverly, there was even a pull-down bed and the sofas turned into beds too, just PAWSOME.

Moreton-in-Marsh is situated in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds, making it the perfect place for adventures (you know I love those). The high street was only a short walk away from our glamping pod which featured an array of boutique shops and plenty of yummy cafes to visit.

We visited the high street a couple of times during our stay and the PA enjoyed  yummy vegetarian breakfasts at a cafe called Victoria's (we recommend it if you visit the area)  We loved the fact that the high street was SO dog-friendly, there were so many dogs coming and going and a lot of the shops and cafes had signs outside welcoming dogs, which we think is so important.  Each day we dressed for the occasion as you can see, you have to put your best paw forward you know, Minnie even let me style her while we were away, how did I do?!

The Glamping pods would also be fabulous in the warmer months as each one featured a gorgeous decked area with a table and chairs, perfect for some Al fresco dining.

As well as the facilities on your doorstep a short bus journey from site is Batsford Arboretum, where the whole family can enjoy a range of activities.

There are also plenty of cities nearby including Oxford, Warwick, Leamington Spa, and Stratford-Upon-Avon all are all less than an hour’s drive from the site, and Oxford is also directly accessible by train.

You can also take a Tuk Tuk tour complete with afternoon tea from Cotswold Tuk Tuk Tours

Ps can you spot me in the pic below?

A stay at the Moreton-in-Marsh Pods starts from £59 per night with an additional supplement of £10 per night for a dog. Minimum of two nights stay is required. For more information visit www.experiencefreedom.co.uk

  • We’ve stayed on Moreton-in-Marsh and agree it’s a lovely part of the country. There are many picturesque villages nearby. The glamping pods seem good value for money and so much easier than camping in tents. Looks great for dogs too.

  • That was so well written darling Plum Pudding and yes I did pick you out in the photo. I love the way the Township and the shops cater for the doggies and the Glamping Pods too. Now this is civilised living! Thank you for telling me about it.
